Raised in the damp, grey North of England, I was drawn to the escapist worlds of comic books and sci-fi TV, which helped in inspiring me to become an artist. After earning a BA in Graphic Design from Kingston-upon-Thames University, I began my career as a children's book illustrator.
Upon relocating to New Jersey, USA, I added corporate clients, publishers, and advertising agencies to my CV.
For several years I worked for The Princeton Packet Newspaper as a paste-up artist, occasional freelance writer, and staff illustrator, winning a number of NJ Press Association art awards in the process.
By responding to a newspaper ad for a "part-time TV news artist," I inadvertently became a multiple Emmy award-winning graphic/video designer for New Jersey Network Public Television, where I worked for over a decade.
Currently I spend time in Manhattan where I freelance for PIX11 News while continuing additional work as a designer, illustrator, animator, and photo restoration specialist.
